This morning after a rejuvenating Shabbat, machaneh (camp) put on our bathing suits and set out on a journey to look for the missing ducks... or so the chanichimot (campers) thought. In reality, we boarded the busses to head out on Kupah Trip, a surprise field trip to a fun location! The trip is machaneh-wide and happens once per session. Today, we went to the Funplex/Splashplex amusement park in East Hanover, New Jersey. The sunny weather was absolutely perfect for the outing, and everyone had a blast playing laser tag, Go Karts, and going on the water slides. A number of chanichimot even won prizes from the indoor arcade area!

The day started at 7:45 instead of 8am and we skipped hitkansut boker (morning flag raising) to head right to a bagel breakfast before hitting the road. The bus ride to East Hanover took about an hour 45 minutes, during which the chanichimot sang songs and talked to their friends. When we arrived, we split into groups and the real fun began! We spent the whole day in the park, and left at about 4 pm in time for some much-needed chofesh (free time).

Tonight, after having a delicious meatloaf dinner, we'll be relaxing from the festivities with a movie night.
See you all again tomorrow as we resume with the regular routine!
