Hello again!
Today was back to the normal Galil day....almost.
Today the Sayarimot had Yom Sayarimot (Sayarimot day) where they followed a very different schedule than everybody else. They started with a sleep-in and then engaged in many kvustah (age group) only activities like a water balloon fight and watching a movie!
For everybody else, the day started out as normal with a fun waffle breakfast. Our pish alephs (first age group activities) were a little different. The Bogrimot and Tzophimot both spent this time planning. The Bogrimot continued planning tonight's tochnit erev (evening activity): Bozman. The Tzophimot started planning their own Yom Tzophimot. The Amelimot and Chotrimot had free swim. The Bonimot spent time having an interesting free-thinking peulah (discussion/activity) about identity and what, exactly, an identity is. The questions were open-ended and the kids were able to spend time thinking outside the box.
While the rest of the day was still interesting and amazing, the high point of the day for our chanichimot (campers) was definitely Bozman. The theme was Moana! Machaneh kicked out the Madatz and madrichimot (counselors). We pretended to be super mean and limit their access to all of machaneh's water areas. The chanichimot of course wanted much more, to go past the limits. Thus we were kicked out and then they all partied hard! The Bogrimot did a great job planning everything, going so far as even planning dinner! Hawaiian pizza and smoothies-how fun and on theme!
See you tomorrow (or not (foreshadow!))
-Miriam
