Kupa Trip to Dorney Park

This morning the Madatzimot decided to have a fake Revo in order to hide the fact that we were all going on Kupa Trip. Their fake theme was ‘Christmas’ and they sang festive tunes while going to breakfast and skipping hitkansut boker(morning flag raising). Once all the kids ate quiche, cereals, and yogurt, the madrichimot(counselors) came back into the chadar and we told the chanichimot that we were going on Kupa Trip, but still hadn’t revealed our destination. Kids made their own sandwiches for lunch and we packed bathing suits, sunscreen, hats, water bottles, and spare clothes in our day packs before hopping onto the busses at around 10:00.

We arrived at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, just outside of Allentown and we got off the busses and had our lunch before heading inside. Everyone split off into small, assigned groups and explored the park at their leisure for about 4 hours. Some people went to the water park, while others (like myself) went to the rollercoasters and rode metal behemoths with the intent of getting our adrenaline flowing like waterfalls, in fact I can still feel the wind in my hair. Frankly all the kids had a tremendous time at Dorney, and rightfully so.

Tonight, we are taking it slow with a movie being shown outside the mini-mo to end our day right. Afterwards I expect everyone to hop into bed and fall asleep without any hesitation. We’ll see you all again tomorrow with a much more regular schedule.
